Révèle equips women who play contact sports. The brand develops and sells reinforced “second skin” technical gear, designed for the sport (rugby, handball, boxing, karate…) and for the female body.

Chest protection against impacts in contact sports that is light, effective and does not restrict movement. The approach: start from the priority areas to protect, then determine the materials and design of the protection.

• Find the right impact-absorbing material: supple, comfortable, suitable for large-scale production.
• Get a first working prototype on a short timeline.
• Determine the most protective design at the lowest cost.

A specifically formulated PU foam meets the shock-absorption requirements.

Development was structured step by step to optimize each phase:

• use of physiological studies on vulnerable areas of the chest;
• review of the literature on testing with female subjects;
• a first “home-made” prototype from standard products, for initial testing.

A symmetrical pattern with generous gaps between the protective elements ensures freedom of movement and eases large-scale production.
